Uber is Falling Apart

June 12, 2017

No stranger to controversy, Uber’s fraught year just got a little… fraughter. Straight on the heels of a board vote concerning the suspension of CEO Travis Kalanick, Senior Vice President Emil Michael has announced his resignation. Michaels wasn’t exactly the golden boy himself: it was he who suggested that the company perform “counter-journalism” on reporters who broke unfavorable news about the company.

The company’s controversy reached a boiling point earlier this year when a former staff member published a blog post detailing extensive sexual harassment at Uber HQ. The board meeting will review the results of an investigation launched at the posts’ behest. If found “guilty,” the company i looking at some (more) huge senior management shake-downs.
