Are we kidding? TDB. The latest House of Cards trailer features scenes of political unrest, protests in the street, and a super on-the-nose banner that reads “NEVER UNDERWOOD,” which may look all too familiar in during these troubled political times. Already playing it fast and loose with their depiction of the Russian head of state, House of Cards writers seem to have dove headfirst into the uncanny valley.
The hook of the season? It sounds like Underwood is unveiling some master plan to stay in the whitehouse… indefinitely. Authoritarianism seems to be very 2017.
